Happy New Year to you all! THANK YOU SO MUCH for the support in 2014. This post has been a long time coming and I apologize that it has taken me this long to really explain the changes you are starting to see. After a nice long break during the holidays, we did some transitioning and updating of our business and site! Things probably don't look a whole lot different to you, but from our end it is much more refined. One thing thought that you have probably heard about by now is that new little name of ours! That's right- we changed our name!
You probably saw this graphic-- and incase you didn't understand, here is what is going to change over here.
WHAT WILL CHANGE:
• The web address: Hazelberrypaper.com is no more, but if you type it in you will be directed to our new address of www.hazelberrydesign.com.
• The etsy name: Hazel Berry Paper ---> Hazel Berry Design (starting to see the trend? :))
• The email: If you visit our site, submitting a contact form will notify me, but if you plan to email me directly, please send it to Jillian(at)hazelberrydesign(dot)com.
WHAT WONT CHANGE
• The products: With an exception of adding new products to the mix, all of the original goodies will still be available.
• Our mission and purpose: At HB Design Co. our mission, passion, and business is all the same.
WHY CHANGE THE NAME?
Great question, and one I feel blessed to answer. Hazel Berry Paper started off as a hobby of mine to share paper goods I was passionate about creating. While I never anticipated taking it to a larger level, God showed up and told me other wise. The first year of treating the shop like a business (and not a hobby), was the biggest and best learning experience. And throughout that time, I had merged my shop with what I have been doing for years-- graphic design! But you see, my clients didn't quite understand how my services were apart of Hazel Berry Paper. And honestly, it seemed a bit disconnected to me too! I love design and feel honored to create for a living. And my shop is filled with products that stem from my incredible journey of faith, but did the two belong in the same place? I was sipping my coffee one morning, and writing in my Daybook when my confused mind finally found clarity.
Hazel Berry Paper will always have a place in my heart. It's where it all started. I get a little sentimental when I think of it changing, but this new chapter is really just the beginning of an even bigger calling. The name Hazel Berry Design Co. doesn't limit me to just selling paper goods, which is what I think God was trying to tell me all along. Now, graphic design fits in all snuggly under the HB Design Co. umbrella-- with the paper goods, and what ever else I decide to take on.
Thank you for being so supportive of this journey. Whether you are a family member, friend, client, or reader, I hope you know how much I adore you. All of the emails and new digital friends that I have made so far makes this entrepreneurial journey so rewarding. And seeing the people I already knew and loved support me, makes me love them even more.
Again, please bear with us as we make this transition. I say us because it takes a village, ya know? But I am also mostly a one man show, which means I am working double as hard to work out the kinks and change the name through all the necessary channels. Trying to focus on GRACE as we get through these next few weeks :).
I also know that we are very low on Daybooks in the shop. I am working along side my printing team to get more on those Etsy shelves for you! I anticipate them being fully restocked within the next week or so, but until then I have put up PRE-ORDER listings for you to purchase and reserve your own. These will ship on Jan. 16th (if not sooner!!). Thanks for being so patient!
Again, You are the best. This new year is bringing a lot more blogging and cool blogging topics so stay tuned!
